Isolated
Isolated is an ongoing series of images that address how we observe species by removing them from their surrounding, natural environment.
The negative space in the images highlights the subject itself, creating an intimate connection between subject and viewer. This space allows for reflection on the individual connection with the environment. As time progresses, living beings grow and alter along with their surrounding environment. These images capture the tension between the fragility of life and the illusion of permanence.
